Double Degree Programs

For Double Degree it is intended the possibility of getting two degrees, one from UNICAM and one from a Partner University in another Country, within the same time of study of the student's current Study Program. The obligation of the student is to move to the selected Partner University for a period of time completing the exams specified in the agreement signed by UNICAM and the Partner University.

At UNICAM there are currently three Partner Universities for the Master of Science in Computer Science and two Partner Universities for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Double Degree for the Master of Science in Computer Science (Laurea Magistrale in Computer Science)

The double degree program can be completed IN TWO YEARS of study (120 ECTS) moving to the Partner University at least for a semester.

  • Reykjavik University (RU) at Reykjavik, Iceland
  • University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) at Olten, Switzerland
  • Universidad Nacional De Catamarca (UNCa) at Catamarca, Argentina

Double Degree for MSc - Requirements for Participation and Procedure for Attendance

  1. Register @ UNICAM Laurea Magistrale in Computer Science as a standard student
  2. Be sure to have an English Certification of level >= B2 OR to pass STING3 - ENGLISH LANGUAGE - LEVEL B2 6 ECTS in the first semester exam session
  3. Perform well during the first semester: at least 18 ECTS passed (including English) must be completed in the first semester - if not, participation to the Double Degree is not possible
  4. Apply for Double Degree position - Call available here - by sending the application and the requested attached documents electronically deadline 24th March 2017
  5. Apply for the Unicam Grant for Double Degree (Call available here).
  6. Prof. Tiezzi will be available for clarification and discussion on Wednesday 22th March 2017 from 10am to 11am at his office, 2nd floor of Polo Lodovici, Via Madonna delle Carceri 9, Camerino.
  7. Prof. Tiezzi will formally approve and sign the application form of students for the UNICAM call for Double Degree mobility grants; the form to be filled in, printed and signed is available here
  8. You can apply, in case of Double Degree with RU, also for the Erasmus+ position and/or grant. The Erasmus+ call is available here.
  9. Perform well during the second semester: at least 48 ECTS must be completed before the mobility, - if not, the student will be excluded from the Double Degree
  10. Start the mobility towards the partner university
  11. Complete all credits (30 ECTS) at the Partner University
  12. Develop the Master Thesis and pass the Defense

Double Degree for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Laurea in Informatica)

The double degree program can be completed IN THREE YEARS of study (180 ECTS) moving to the Partner University at least for two semesters.

  • Middlesex University (MDX) at London, UK
  • Hanoi University (HANU) at Hanoi, Vietnam

Double Degree for BSc - Requirements for Participation and Procedure for Attendance

  1. Register @ UNICAM Laurea in Informatica as a standard student
  2. Perform well during the first year and the second year. At the beginning of the second semester of the second year you will be asked to apply for one of the two double degrees.
  3. At the beginning of the second semester of the second year, to be eligible to apply, you must have completed at least 72 ECTS of the courses of the first year and of the first semester of the second year
  4. At the beginning of the second semester of the second year, to be eligible to apply, you must have an English certification of level >= B2 or, equivalently, have passed the UNICAM exam STING3 - ENGLISH LANGUAGE - LEVEL B2 6 ECTS
  5. Apply for Double Degree position - Call available here - by sending the application and the requested attached documents electronically deadline 24th March 2017
  6. Apply for the Unicam Grant for Double Degree (Call not available yet, see here).
  7. Prof. Tiezzi and Prof. Mostarda will be available for clarification and discussion on Thursday 10th March 2016 from 1pm to 2pm at the Meeting Room 2nd floor of Palazzo Battibocca, Via del Bastione, 1 Camerino.
  8. Prof. Tiezzi and Prof. Mostarda will also formally approve and sign the proposed learning agreement needed for applying to the UNICAM call for Double Degree mobility grants. The form to be filled in, printed and signed is available here
  9. You can apply also for the Erasmus+ position and/or grant for going to MDX. However, this position (there is only one available) is not compatible with the double degree one. Erasmus+ students do not have to pay tuition fees to the partner university when studying there. The Erasmus+ call is available here, deadline 25th March 2016
  10. In case of Double Degree with MDX, in April 2016 you need to apply online at Middlesex University UCAS system. Within this online application form, it is included a request for a student loan from the UK government in order to cover the expenses for tuition fees (about 9000 GBP for one year)
  11. In case of Double Degree with MDX, upon acceptance from MDX, you can apply for accommodation at the Student House using the link that will be provided by MDX.
  12. Perform well during the second semester of the second year: at least 120 ECTS must be completed before the mobility, - if not, the student will be excluded from the Double Degree. In case of Double Degree with MDX, the exams “Internet, Reti e Sicurezza (12 ECTS)” and “Networking Fundamentals (6 ECTS, CISCO modules 1 & 2)” are required to be passed before moving to MDX, and “Networking Discovery (6 ECTS, CISCO modules 3 & 4)” is strongly recommended.
  13. Start the mobility towards the partner university
  14. Complete all credits (60 ECTS) at the Partner University
  15. Come back to UNICAM, write the report of “Prova Finale” and discuss it in one of the graduation dates available.
